Project-Based Internship: Candidates are to propose a video project that they would like to produce from concept to cablecast. The selected intern(s) will be expected to have a schedule outlining the weekly commitment and time span of the project. The compensation will be based on that commitment at $12 an hour for up to $1,000. If there are two Producers, the project will be capped at $1,500, and if there are three or more Producers, the project will be capped at $2,000. The interns will have the guidance and supervision of the Groton Channel Staff throughout the production process. The project must be completed prior to the beginning of the school year in the fall. All kinds of projects are welcome. The intern projects will be selected based on the merits of the project, the intern’s enthusiasm for the subject, and the intern’s ability to achieve high production values. Some basic knowledge of video production is necessary, but additional training will be provided. |
Production Assistant Internship: Interns will perform various duties associated with the day-to-day operations of The Groton Channel.
