Making a Movie is a hands-on class where we will work together to make a short movie. Over the span of four weeks we will brainstorm ideas, write a script, shoot and edit our movie.
This workshop depends upon a diverse group of interests in order to succeed. We need writers, actors, producers and directors. If you’re interested in any of those fields and would like to learn more about something new, then this workshop is for you!
As an added incentive, the final movie we produce will air on The Groton Channel.
Week One
During out first meeting, we will brainstorm ideas for our film. Bring your creativity! Once we’ve decided what our movie will be about, we will begin writing our script.
Week Two
In our second week we will complete work on our script and begin pre-production. This will involve casting actors, scouting locations and creating storyboards.
Week Three
Lights! Camera! Action! In our third week we will actually shoot our movie.
Week Four
In our final week we will finish shooting (if necessary) and edit our movie. When we’re happy with our finished product, we’ll all enjoy some popcorn and watch our movie.
